Design Engineer
Diploma or Degree in Engineering or equivalent Experience and Background: • 5 - 7 years minimum. Experience in mechanical and piping equipment and systems in the water field. Other process plant experience would be considered. • Registered as Pr. Eng., PR Tech., C. Eng. or equivalent. Candidates actively working toward or awaiting registration will also be considered. And demonstrates these competencies/skills: • Understand the economic implications of equipment selection and configuration. • Understanding of the interfaces between civil, mechanical and electrical disciplines. • Competent in developing and interpreting piping and Instrumentation diagrams. • Good oral and written communication. • Competent in developing and utilizing software analysis tools and software for P & ID development. • Developing arrangement and detail drawings. • Development of new design and equipment relating to the industry. • Technical problem solving - design/office and site related. Key Job Requirements: • Mechanical design and equipment selection for tenders executed by the commercial division and contracts executed by the projects division. • Ensure that the company keeps abreast with the latest technology and equipment suitable to the market place. • Develop and maintain analytical procedures and engineering standards.
