National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) is a key functionary of Indian Space Research Organization
Striving to realize the Indian Space Vision through Earth Observation. It is responsible for the Ground
Segment of Remote Sensing Programme through satellite data acquisition, archival, processing,
dissemination, Remote Sensing Applications, Training and Capacity Building. It is the sole provider of
Aerial services in the civilian Sector for the country. The Organization has Regional Centres at
Bangalore, Nagpur, Kolkata and Jodhpur to address region/area specific remote sensing
application needs. The Earth Station located at Shadnagar, 65 kms from Hyderabad city is being
developed as a full fledged centre to carry out the entire chain of remote sensing activities. NRSC is
continuously exploring the practical use of Remote Sensing for societal applications through
multilevel initiatives, development of value added data services and Remote Sensing Applications.

NRSC invites applications for the following positions on temporary basis to its ongoing national
projects for a maximum period of two years from the eligible candidates:

Note: 1) Number of positions indicated above are provisional and may vary depending on the
actual requirement.

2) ME/M.Tech or its equivalent degree should be in first class with an aggregate minimum of
60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 scale or equivalent and pre-eligibility qualification of
BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engineering)/M.Sc. or its equivalent should also be in first class with an
aggregate of 65% (average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 scale or
equivalent. BE/B.Tech/M.Sc. Degree should be in first class with an aggregate minimum of
65% (average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 scale or equivalent.
Rounding-off marks is not allowed.

Age Limit:

18-30 years as on 01.03.2012. SC, ST, Ex-serviceman and Persons with Disabilities are eligible for age
relaxation as per Government of India orders on the subject.

Pay & Allowances:

In addition to the above mentioned fellowship amount, HRA at the prescribed rates in force at the
place of posting will be paid.

Selection Process:

The qualifications prescribed in this advertisement are the minimum requirement and the same does
not automatically make candidates eligible to be called for interview. Based on the experience and
details of marks furnished by the applicants, the candidates will be shortlisted for interview.

How to apply:

The application for on-line registration will be hosted in the NRSC web-site between 10.02.2012 and
01.03.2012. Candidates may visit our web-site at www.nrsc.gov.in to register their applications on-line
between 10.02.2012 and 01.03.2012. Applications will be received on-line only. Upon registration,
applicants will be provided with an on-line Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved
for future reference. E-mail ID of the applicant will have to be given in the application compulsorily.

After the on-line registration, the final degree/marks sheet certificate of ME/M.Tech/M.Sc,/ BE/B.Tech
as the case may be duly indicating the registration No. & Post No. and Advertisement No. on the
reverse of the degree/marks sheet may be sent to the Administrative Officer (R&R), NRSC, Balanagar,
Hyderabad-500037 within 7 working days after the last date. Please note that the on-line
registrations, in respect of which final degree/marks sheets are received within the stipulated time
shall only be considered.

Further, the on-line application has to be invariably followed with a “No Objection Certificate” from
the employer concerned, by those already in employment under Central/State Government, Public
Sector Undertakings or Autonomous Bodies, duly indicating the name and reg. No. & post No. on the
reverse of the NOC and the same may be sent to Administrative Officer(R&R) NRSC, Balanagar,
Hyderabad-500037 within 7 working days after the last date.

General Conditions:

 NRSC/ISRO reserves the right not to fill up all or any of the fellowships, if it so decides.

 These Research Fellowship positions are purely on temporary basis for a maximum period of two
years for the Project duration. It may be noted that the Research Fellowship positions do not carry
any claim whatsoever for regular appointments in NRSC/ISRO/DOS.

 Candidates called for interview will have to produce all relevant original documents in proof of
details furnished in their applications along with a set of attested xerox copies at the time of
interview. In case any information furnished in the application is found to be wrong or false, the
candidate will not be interviewed.

 The selected candidates may likely be posted in NRSC, Hyderabad/Shadnagar,
Mahaboobnagar Dist. Andhra Pradesh. However the Department reserves the right to post the
candidates in any of the Centres/Units of the Indian Space Research Organisation/ Department
of Space situated anywhere in India as and when required.

 Only Indian Nationals should apply.
