The National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya is being established as an Institution of National Importance, with funding from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The academic activities of the institute shall be started in Shillong at the Bijni Complex of NEHU in the city from July, 2012.
The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals possessing requisite academic qualifications and experience, with commitment to work and an inclination towards institutional development, for appointment to the various positions listed below on permanent/contract/deputation basis.
Executive Engineer
Essentials:
i. First class degree or equivalent grade in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
ii. 5 years experience in relevant field as Engineer/ Asstt. Engineer from state/ central PWD or similar organized services/ PSUs/ Universities/ reputed Institutions.
Desirable:
i. Experience of planning, designing, estimation and execution of high value civil engineering works.
ii. Knowledge of CAD and construction management technology and other relevant software.
iii. Proven track record of handling projects of large magnitude and quality.
Assiatant Librarian
Essentials:
i. Master‟s degree in Library Sc./ Information Sc./ Documentation with at least 60% marks or with 6.5 CGPA in 10 point scale or a grade of „B‟ in the UGC 7 point scale.
ii. NET/ SLET/ SET qualification or a Ph. D. degree as per UGC norms.
Desirable:
PG diploma in Library Automation and Networking or PGDCA or equivalent from a UGC recognized institution.
Assistant Registrar
Essential:
i. Master‟s degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks or its equivalent CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale or a grade of B in the UGC seven point scale from a recognized University/ institute or first class Bachelor‟s degree in Engineering or equivalent grade.
Desirable:
i. Possessing qualification in area of Management/ Engineering/ Law will be preferred.
ii. Experience in handling computerized administration/ legal/ financial/ establishment matters.
Accountant
Essential:
i. First Class B.Com.(Hons.) with 2 years experience in Office Management.
ii. Knowledge of Computer Based Accounting System.
Desirable: Accountancy as a special subject in degree or a Chartered or Cost Accounts Degree or Diploma.
Technical Assistant
First Class Diploma in Engineering (Electronics/ Electrical/Computer) of 3 years duration plus 2 yrs relevant experience.
Technical Assistant (System)
First Class Diploma in Engineering (Electronics/ Computer) of 3 years duration plus 2 yrs. relevant experience.
Technician
Bachelors Degree in Physics/ Chemistry.
Technician
3 years diploma in Engineering or Bachelors Degree (Electronics/ Electrical/Computer/IT) or Class 10 pass with at least 50% marks and ITI course of 2 years duration in Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Trade.
